About this Event
Please join Paving Great Futures, Southbay Community Services, Kitchens for Good, Shaphat Outreach, the San Diego Gang Commission, CAST, and other gun violence prevention organizations for a community conversation about the California Violence Intervention and Prevention (CalVIP). CalVIP is a critical component in funding community based organizations doing the hard work within our communities to support families and prevent violence. Studies have shown that when we can address the root causes of violence in our communities, we can save lives and prevent acts of violence before they occur. Hear from community organizations who are already utilizing CalVIP funding, hear from elected officials who support CalVIP, and learn more about how to apply to receive CalVIP funding.
