Early Discount 20th Annual Families & Fathers Conference

 

Call to action-Fathers and Families Coalition of America is nearing the 20th Annual Families and Fathers Conference, March 4-7, 2019 in Los Angeles, California with a comprehensive program that hosts presenters from the United Kingdom, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Bolivia and throughout the United States. We are providing the conference information for your consideration to participate. We are asking you to share this conference information with your community partnerships (national to local) that FFCA is including a time-limited reduced fee at the request of a Head Start program and past attendees for our community stakeholders.

In the most recent commitment from ACF, it was noted that Head Start & Child Care sustaining goal to ensure engaging fathers with children in the child-welfare system. The 20th Annual Families and Fathers Conference offers to staff, and community partnerships require professional development to enhance the engaging evidence-based to promising practices working with fathers. October 17, 2018, IM relays the first desired impact to stress the importance of engaging fathers by all ACF as the "Contribution to Early Childhood Development."

 

Head Start and Early Head Start teachers, child welfare professionals, family service workers, and programs can leverage the 20th Annual Families and Fathers Conference many of the selected faculty are available to support and enhance a competent, skilled, and professional child welfare workforce with workshops, featured speakers, and advanced training seminars for practitioners. We believe this event will support the goal from ACF's many programs touch the lives of millions.

"Investing in on-going professional development for staff to help them assess and evaluate how they work with fathers and examining cultural perspectives to improve their understanding of the unique needs and strengths of fathers are some of the ways in which OHS programs are working to engage fathers."

 

"Supporting fatherhood engagement is an allowable quality expenditure based on the emphasis on parent engagement in the CCDF Act and Final Rule, which encourages grantees to invest in training and outreach that engages parents and families in culturally and linguistically appropriate ways to expand their knowledge, skills, and capacity to be meaningful partners in supporting their children's positive development."

 

October 17, 2018, ACF IM reconfirms the Children's Bureau, "Proactively working with fathers, whether custodial, noncustodial, geographically separated, or incarcerated can be helpful in strengthening familial relationships, encouraging fathers to play more active roles in the lives of their children, and making connections with paternal family members and resources, all of which help improve the long-term well-being and development of children. CB strongly encourages all child welfare agencies to enhance their efforts to work with fathers across the continuum of child welfare services."

 

Fathers & Families Coalition of America has taken a proactive approach over the past two decades to ensure all of our events includes how to support the professional development of child welfare professionals to engage fathers, create meaningful services with fathers, and enhance programs for replicated models. 

 

Go beyond providing services to giving exemplary and best-practices with advanced training at the 20th Annual Families and Fathers Conference with superior faculty teaching appropriate practice working with fathers and improving important child and parent outcomes, such as mental health, substance abuse, and child safety and well-being. The plethora of sessions that supports agencies and practitioners with comprehensive methods assessing needs, connecting to the families served, knowing how to access and deliver the needed trauma-informed and evidence-based services, and overseeing and evaluating the continuing appropriateness of the services.

The 20th Annual Families and Fathers National Conference, March 4-7, 2019 is an event that parallels the mission of providing featured speakers, workshops and evidence-based intervention comprehensive training for practitioners nationally and international attendees seeking methods to improve or create access to services to ensure continuous improvement professional development so participants can build upon efforts that  create strong, healthy communities. FFCA supports and advances approaches through training and technical assistance as requested by attendees over the past 19-years. The 2019 conference has an assemblage of speakers that address the elements of the recent Administration for Children and Families Information Memorandum on "Integrating Approaches that Prioritize and Enhance Father Engagement" for agency capacity and staff development. We believe the 20th Annual Families & Fathers Conference's specific and planned sessions establish a platform to advance the needs of the practitioners and community leaders build ongoing collaboration with stakeholders in states, regions, and nationally as well as creating models working with parents, children, and families with specialized training to engage fathers.

 

March 2019, in Los Angeles, California will bring together a remarkable assemblage of speakers and presenters with the vision to influence and affirm the power within others, leaving a legacy of giving. The 20th Annual Families and Fathers Conference is a four-day experience. The ability of the speakers to give some over half a century in service with and for others to have a better life is a testament of leadership. Following the passion for being part of the process of others' succeeding is one of the contagious elements of empowering leaders. Fathers and Families Coalition of America has the infusion of some special Featured Talk Speakers from Puerto Rico, Australia, the United States that are fortified with workshop speakers from Ireland, England, Scotland and others throughout the United States addressing how we collectively and globally can make a positive difference in the lives within our communities, nation and internationally.
