YOLO PROGRAM UPDATES: Family Hui, Empower Yolo, and Turning Point

·        FAMILY HUI is starting a group for parents/caregivers in Yolo this September. The group will meet online and is being organized with parents from UCDavis but all are welcome. Please contact for more information. These groups (hui) have offer a powerful system of support always but especially at this time. 96% of online participants said they will would recommend the program to a friend. If you know of a parent in need, please reach out.

o   October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). If you would like more information/training about domestic violence please contact Celina Alveraz

o   Please email Celina Alveraz at if you would like some of Empower Yolo’s new "Safety Planning" resource cards in English and Spanish to put in your lobby!

o   Finally, Empower Yolo also has diapers for families who need them. Their office is 175 Walnut Street in Woodland.
