Reply to "Home Schooling?"

I know that our state has several options or "cyberschools" beyond what local districts offer. These cyperschools existed before the pandemic, so they appear have had time to "work out the bugs." Some of them are free and offer free devices and broadband internet. I don't want to talk about my region in specifics, since all localities have different options.

Here are some resources concerning school opening regarding the pandemic. I'm not sure, I get a sense that may one of your concerns since it is a concern of many. My children have graduated public schools, so I'm not faced with this difficult decision.

I'm not only a mental health clinician, I'm also a graduate of the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. My very cursory knowledge of the recent research concerning transmission of coronavirus in children is confusing since there are different conclusions from different studies. Again. I have not reviewed the actual research from the journals, so I'm not familiar with the research designs. I do know from the news reports that all the studies have very low sample sets leaving me doubting the results of the studies from both sides. I also found a news article from the press this weekend to I found to be very disturbing. I feel the need to alert parents about it.
