Language, ethnic, cultural concerns in home visitation

I will be doing a workshop with home visiting nurses this fall around ACEs. Their county has a policy that requires them to inquire about sexual assault/abuse history. They struggle with cultural issues, difficulty providing a private area for discussion, and other family members providing interpretation. The communities involved include Latina, Native-American Indian, Hmong, Somali.

Any suggestions for overcoming these barriers for home visitation programs trying to incorporate ACEs prevention into their practice?
