Good evening,

We have a greater participation also in the Spanish speaker community. We usually give presentations either in Spanish or English and avoid translations due to the type of curriculum we are using. The parenting series it is experiential so wouldn't be easy to translate due to the activities.

Hi Andres,

Thank you for sharing what you do! With some of the other parenting classes we do, we also offer one set in English and one in Spanish so that it is in their home language. Because the ACEs/Resilience training was something we developed from many other resources, we translated all of the materials (or used materials that were available in both languages) and then the woman who interpreted for us had access to everything ahead of time so she would be better prepared than showing up and trying to interpret such a narrow topic that she hadn't seen before. The biggest challenge for us is finding someone to present in Spanish to those families, who is also familiar with the material to be comfortable doing so.
