Reply to "Suggestions regarding my petition to get C-PTSD in the DSM-5?"

Mickayla,

Bessel left the Netherlands as a teenager.  He did not lose his license there last year. I suspect you've confused him with someone else.

Here are a couple papers that align with the effort you're undertaking. The original conceptualization/name for such a diagnosis was something referred to as DESNOS (Disorders of Extreme Stress Not Otherwise Specified). I agree with others this will require massive support within the broad mental health community as well as data and some luck.  Seeing the ICD include it has been very rewarding.  Good luck.

Thank you for sharing some information with me! I will look these over and add them too. If anyone else has studies/information they'd like to share I'd really appreciate it! Thank you everyone for your support.

Theres a 10 minute podcast here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?...amp;feature=youtu.be) That does talk about Bessel losing his license and has information about a court case that is indeed against him. But it's dutch, so maybe I can't look over the 'proof' documents? It is a court case that uses his name, atleast. Maybe this is misinformation? I'd love if someone could clarify.
