Validation of ACEs survey?

I have review the 1998 article that is cited on the CDC website as the article for the development of the ACEs survey. I was surprised that it did not include standard survey development procedures, in particular psychometric measures of reliability and validity. Sometimes this does not happen in the first article, so I am wondering if others could point me to such methodological research articles.
