Reply to "Your advice... From Infant Trauma to Pathways for Belonging"

Thanks Cissy, i really appreciate taking the time to listen to it and give such a thoughtful response. In all my belonging work, it is the first time I reveal the driving force behind it in my personal experience. It has taken radical courage but when i get responses like yours there is a deeper layer of healing that happens each time. Thanks for your advice. I am not sure what the difference between a "blog post" and "post" but will navigate around to see what i find. For the blog post, do you suggest just a short paragraph or do people in this community like to read a little more? Many many thanks, Jessie

Jessie:
Your emotion and passion came through in your words. I've never thought of it as a crisis of belonging and I love that lens. Good on you for being courageous, and many know it comes with risks and rewards because there's still a lot of bias against those who have been in the foster care system, or who have lots of ACEs and speak of those things. I think things are changing though and it's healing, as well, to hear others talking more about it as "us" stuff rather than us/them ideas.

As for posting, you can via the post button, "post a blog post" longer with some details (if you want) or post an ask-the-community (as you did perfectly). You can post a video resource, and your TedTalk is that. It's just people look and access different things on the site and since you are looking for ways to reach/connect with others I think sharing in all those ways can be helpful. Also, poke around the communities and see what you find. Please keep posting and asking questions.
