Luke, this is an amazing resource. One thought in reading it. Dr. Felliti, in the original ACE study look also at what protected people. He found, like Dr. Harris, that resilience came from the deep belief that at one time you really mattered to another human being.  My sense is that this paper, while acknowledging the benefits of relationships could pull that up more. I think it may be a strength in Native communities - that might just benefit from some reconnecting to knowledge or some fine tuning - because more than anything it is one of the things that is free and makes a difference. Glad to chat with you about our experience with this - as it is quite rewarding for both people in the relationship - and not that complicated!
