At the first California ACEs summit in November 2014, students from Leadership High School profoundly moved the audience with their views and experiences of ACEs and toxic stress.
It is really wonderful that young people are getting to learn about toxic stress/adversity - Reason Knowledge is power. These kids are going to be so more able to heal from adversity then when us older folks were young and there was no information out there to help with understanding. These kids will be knowledgeable about what the exposure to toxic stress could do to their children. This looks like the beginning of really breaking the chains of abuse. Now if we could get this information into schools and to all kids (and to the adults in schools and other areas where kids are involved) so much human suffering is going away.
