Dr. Stan Sonu strongly believes that in order to achieve system empathy, we need to recognize the health impact of adverse childhood stress and trauma.
I LOVED this Ted Talk! Thanks for sharing Jane. I especially loved how this doctor's med school provided training in ACEs science and as a result he is now a passionate advocate to get ACEs science into all of the helping professions, thereby creating systemic empathy!
Nice to see Medical students are getting exposed to ACES. 5 years ago, student of phycology were graduating from college without ever hearing about trauma informed care or ACEs. I would tell them to get a refund on their tuition because they were cheated out of a proper education.
Thank you so much for this Jane. This talk goes to show the impact of a single ACES presentation on one person - I love his passion and dedication to the cause.
