Dear ACE community,

I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Georgia who is critically analyzing the development of the ACE project. I am specifically examining the limitations of the framework and its present manifestations that hold parallels to the early 20th-century eugenics movement.

Given the urgency of the Covid19 crisis and its relevance to the ACE community, I am extending an invitation for a free webinar. I would like to share my initial analysis of some of the more concerning elements of the ACE campaign. I would also like to discuss existing research that was published this year through Cambridge Press by leading scholars who first drew parallels between the ACE and eugenic campaigns, and who have also outlined key substantive and methodological concerns with the ACE framework.

Please comment below if you have an interest in attending and I will plan according to the number of respondents.

Alex

Thanks for expressing interest, everyone. Over the next couple of days, I will develop a plan and will send out information and resources. In response to Morgan, I am in the midst of organizing databases and resources to share with anyone who is interested. I will post them prior to the webinar. I thank everyone in advance for their engagement with my work and look forward to your questions.

Thanks again to those who have expressed interest in discussing my work in my upcoming webinar. The time that worked for most of those who responded was tomorrow, March 31, at 3:00-4:30 EST. I will follow up later today with a zoom link, resources, and a meeting outline.

For those who are unable to attend, I will follow up with you in the next couple of days and will be happy to schedule a second webinar next week.

Again, I look forward to our discussion and your questions.
