Are there any active support groups in the Salem or Portland area? I'm new to ACE. Discovered this study on YouTube and the light bulb went on for me.

Cyndi, I'd recommend starting with Trauma-Informed Oregon, located in Portland but working statewide. There is a newsletter to keep you informed and opportunities for involvement. I don't know if Trauma-Informed Oregon would know of active support groups but they may have suggestions on how to find out.
Cyndi,
I'm not sure where you're located, but I believe Washington County has an ACEs workgroup. I'm located on the coast, and there isn't really an active group that works on ACEs around in this area, though there are health departments and non-profits around the state that work on ACEs and trauma informed care.
The folks in Eugene at http://90by30.com/ could have some great resources. I think the world of their director, Phyllis Barkhurst.
Good Morning Cyndi,
Kathleen Burns, who works at OHA could give you some excellent information and connect you in to the local community. The suggestion of reaching out to Trauma Informed Oregon is also a great one.
Best of luck,
Danielle
