I am delighted to be part of this community. I posted a question yesterday but not sure I did it correctly I can't see it up on the site.

My interest is in an ACE's/Trauma approach to community development. I would be delighted to hear from anyone who has taken up such a project and could give me some ideas.

I look forward to hearing from anyone in this area of community development.

Hi Ann,  Welcome, and thank you for your question and persistence!

Please check out Growing Resilient Communities 2.1 for stories and examples of ways others engaged community members around ACEs science!

Here are examples of items, stories, etc, that have been shared on the main ACEs Connection site. NKCDC is incorporating trauma-informed practices into its community development work / Be the Spark: Igniting trauma-informed change within our communities How to become a trauma-informed community: Trauma-Informed Oregon's Roadmap / trauma-informed-community-network and an Ask the Community thread with some similarities: Trauma-Informed Communities

I hope you find a nugget or two, or better yet discover someone who shares your interests! Fingers cross! Karen

Here are a couple more resources:

Strategies 2.0 (http://strategiesca.org/): We have fact sheets and toolkits on Building Community Resilience. We also offer a half-day training/idea generating session.

The Prevention Institute (https://www.preventioninstitut...ssing-and-preventing): They developed the "Pair of ACEs" model and have projects and info around community and policy development.

I hope that's helpful.
