Hi Allison, What a great question.  Thank you for seeking out information through this forum.  I think you're touching on a key topic/issue that may not have had as much light shined upon it.  I hope you will loop back around and share you findings on the North Coast ACEs Connection community!

Here is a power point slide deck that can be found on ACEs Connection Network:  ACEs and People with Disabilities

Attached are a couple articles that are open access that may provide additional data and a national perspective.

Click on this link to see an article that discusses the "double hit" of ACEs and Disability:  ACES and Disability a Double Hit for Health Risk Behaviors

I hope this is helpful!

Allison, on kidsdata.org, we have data for Humboldt County on the percentage of children who have special health care needs who have had one or more adverse experiences. Here is a link to the data.

At the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health, we have a particular interest in promoting system change to benefit children with special needs. You might find additional information to support your grant on our site, though we do not have specific research connecting ACEs and PWD.

Thank you, Lori. I am familiar with Kidsdata, which is wonderful, and included it in my proposal. Before working for Economic Development, I was an analyst for the Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health program. Thank you for the suggestion.
