Hi, Everyone:

Next week, Tonette Walker, Wisconsin's First Lady, is hosting a Trauma-Informed Spouses conference, and First Spouses from Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Dakota and Nebraska are attending. We’re helping the Wisconsin folks gather information about any ACEs initiatives that are happening in those states.

We have Alaska, Arizona, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Tennessee pretty well covered, so we're looking for ACEs/trauma-informed/resilience-building initiatives in Arkansas, Mississippi, Nebraska and South Dakota.

If you have info about initiatives in those states, please contact me at jstevens@acesconnection.com, or leave a comment below. I greatly appreciate it!  (I've also sent individual emails to some ACEs Connection members from those states.)

Cheers, Jane

Hi Jane,  I am from Nebraska and graduated from UNL.  I have been following the Buffett Early Childhood Institute headed by Samuel Meisels, EdD so the focus is on schools.  When I go back to visit family (including two physician cousins) in the Spring, I plan to meet with whoever might be interested in ACES.  After seeing this I will contact Samuel Meisels now.  If you know anyone from Nebraska who has expressed an interest in ACES, please let me know.  My major interest is in fostering healthy bonding/attachment and co-regulation between parents and child during the Prenatal to Five (up to Eight) stages of development to create Resilience and make parents aware of the epigenetics effects of ACES.
