Dear Colleagues,

I'm writing on behalf of a biochemistry class that I'm co-teaching with Prof. Patricia O'Hara in the fall of 2012, in which we're exploring the ACE Study in the context of how stress affects human health, from the molecular to the community and societal level.

We would really appreciate your sharing your thoughts and hypotheses on the biological and molecular mechanisms through which the toxic stress from adverse childhood experiences results in adverse health outcomes. Understanding more precisely what happens at the molecular and neuroendocrine level will help us learn how "healthy stress" results in thriving and healthy lives. Thank you for your ideas.
