Thank you, Joanne, for the link to those resources (they're great!).  I am trying to connect with Scott Webb and I am also connecting with Tracy Heneager.  I would very much like to support the efforts of Wisconsin (I think it's amazing that you all have set the goal to be the first trauma informed state)  with my knowledge and experience with guiding stakeholder engaged change processes.  Maybe some day I will meet you!

Best, Emily

I left you a message, Scott.  I am also going to send you an email.  Thank you so much for your response;  I look forward to connecting!  Best, Emily

Just to echo above comments, I am the director of clinical services at SaintA and we have done a lot of work to add to our statewide efforts for trauma informed change.   I am also co- author of the learning modules that Joann linked to

and have been honored to support our schools in these efforts. Along with our partners and colleagues (Scott Webb, Elizabeth Hudson, Joann Stephens, Fostering Futures and The Wisconsin Trauma Project) there truly are a lot of great things happening in this state!  sdaniel@sainta.org

Thanks so much for the sharing above!  How do I get Florida to have a "Trauma-Informed Care Coordinator" in the mental health area or in education (particularly my district)?  I'm thankful other states are moving along helping the community.

Again, thanks for sharing WI info!

Hi Barbie!  Have you connected with the folks in Tarpon Springs, FL?  They are committed to a trauma informed community.  They have a website - peace 4 Tarpon.  you probably already know about them, but just in case.  Good luck!

Hi Emily and thank you.  Yes, I have been in contact with Tarpon Springs a great deal.  They really are the leaders in our state and I admire the community for making the changes needed.  I'm just running into roadblocks within my school district and community.

These roadblocks are within my school district and my community.  It seems everytime something gets moving, something prevents it from going further.  I will not give up though!

Hi, Barbie: I suggest finding a few other people in your geographic community who are members of ACEs Connection, get together informally for coffee (or breakfast/lunch/dinner), see if there's enough interest to start a local ACEs initiative, and then contact me if there is. We'll get you set up with a community site on ACEs Connection and guidance on how to start and grow a local ACEs initiative.

Here's how to search for ACEs Connection members in your zipcode (out to 100 miles, if you like).

Let me know if you need any help, or if I can answer any questions.

Cheers, Jane
