iDFY is an Idaho nonprofit, providing Drug Prevention Education statewide.  Through our programs, iDFY reaches over 11,000 youth annually.  Our organization is looking for an evidence-based program/curriculum for 6-12th grades that align with our Mission: Empowering Teens to Live Happy and Healthy Lives.

Looking forward to being part of this Community and hearing your thoughts!

Depending on the specifics of what you're looking for, my agency developed a 6 week primary prevention curriculum for middle and high schoolers.  It's specifically focused on sexual violence but teaches healthy life and relationship skills.  Below is the link for the website if you're interested and feel free to contact us.  We have trained facilitators in other states and countries so the distance wouldn't be a problem.

Hello Karen,

We work with youth in middle and high schools in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Oakland and Houston providing lessons focused on stress resilience, self-awareness, emotion regulation and healthy relationships.

Our curriculum is approved by CASEL - The Collaborative for Academic,  Social, and Emotional Learning which has strict standards for the resources they recommend.

I hope this is helpful.  Please let me know if I can answer any additional questions.

With care,
Heidi

We offer several programs that could be of help to you and your students.

Too Good programs empower children with the social-emotional learning and substance abuse prevention skills they need to lead happy and healthy lives.

Too Good for Drugs, a K-12 program, teaches five essential social and emotional learning skills, which research has linked with healthy development and academic success:

  • Goal Setting
  • Decision Making
  • Bonding with pro-social others
  • Identifying and managing emotions
  • Communicating effectively

Project Northland (Grades 6-8) and Class Action & Drugs on Trial (Grades 9-12) are other great options.

We also offer a suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention program called Hazelden LifelinesÂŪ as well as programs for dating violence prevention, tobacco use prevention, and bullying prevention.  Feel free to reach out if you would like to chat directly.  acunningham@hazeldenbettyford.org.
