This award-winning and much celebrated it seems, new film, is being Premiered in London today (15th). I am curious to know if you have been involved or consulted about the making of this docu. The reason I am asking is that, after looking at the short trailer (2min), I get < no-sense-of-the-ACEs-Study-at all > and of course this raises questions for me. Please tell me what you think. Thank you for your concern about the events of late in Orlando, Florida.
I wasn't knowingly involved or consulted in the making of this film. I have been involved in some conflict resolution initiative in prisons-as a participant in the American Arbitration Association's National Center for Dispute Settlement, and other prison reform efforts.
I'm not sure how Ireland scored during the World Health Organization's (WHO)2013 assessment of the world's healthiest children. They used ACE screening as part of their criteria. The ACE International Questionaire is available on WHO's website. I know that the Netherlands ranked #1, followed by most, if not all of Scandinavia; the U.S. was 25th, Canada 26th, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not certain what the ranking of other nations is/was.

Thank you very much for your comments, and I'm glad you were involved in some of these prisons reforms. Ireland does not fare well with regards to Children : we were dragged backwards to amend our Constitution, but only after being reprimanded several times. The ACEs Study is a foreign concept here, but we do our bit to draw attention and bring about change. Figures may sometimes paint a different picture, but a whole heart and sea-change is needed here. The authorities, government and officials treat the People with utter contempt and disregard, so it's no wonder the population behaves in the same way towards our most vulnerable, the youngest, and the old. We live in hope!
I don't have an up-to-date source of information on the "Honor Prison" in California, where inmates admitted to it: 1) Renounce Gang Membership; 2) Commit to Non-Violence, ... Although less problematic than "hard-core maximum security environments", it saved California taxpayers about $200,000.00 its first year of operation (some of it is noted in "Creating A Healing Society:...." by Susan Lawrence, M.D.)
