I'm wondering if ACES Connection folks have any video resources detailing SAMHSA's Six Key Principles of a Trauma-Informed Approach?

1. Safety 2. Trustworthiness and Transparency 3. Peer Support 4. Collaboration and Mutuality 5. Empowerment, Voice and Choice 6. Cultural, Historical, and Gender Issues

My group is putting together a PowerPoint but find that informative/creative videos makes a difference as far as learning styles, visual aids, etc.

Thank you in advance for sharing resources.

Hi Ryan, we have a video we made on the six guiding principles of Trauma Informed Care and Resilience. We also have certification training that follows the guidelines and goes deep into understanding Trauma and Resilience. You can also check out our podcast if you are interested. We would love to connect with you! ðŸĨ°ðŸ’œ

Hi Dr. B,

I am have spend some time on your website and love the resources!  I could not find the video you referenced on the 6 guiding principles of TIC and Resilience.  Can you share where that is?

These aren't SAMSHA resources but here's a video I did on the principles I used to thrive without any of the typical resiliency factors. PS Forgive me for offering when not asked - its simply these principles allowed me have an amazing life without trying in the face of significant Cognitive Issues (recently diagnosed). If it can possibly help someone else I don't mind you thinking I was rude lol

Here's a link to the trailer,  if you'd like to see the full version let me know.

With love, gratitude and heart, Leslie
