People who have seen my past postings will know I've got a fairly negative view of the state of things re ACEs / trauma-focused services in New Zealand. Well, time to change things and start being encouraged again. A new report, by psychologist Janet Peters and Fran Silvestri, Director of International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership (IIMHL), has recently become available. It's an absolutely AWESOME piece of work, and if you're serious about learning about this work, it has to be on your short list of must-reads. It covers not only the situation in New Zealand, but in all those countries with members in IIMHL.

Ms Peters website is here:  http://www.janetpeters.co.nz/

and IIMHL is here:  http://www.iimhl.com/

Have you read it?  Do yourself a favour and read it!

With Ms Peters and Mr Silvestri so active in this area in New Zealand we can be confident there's hope for the future.
