I think it connects a lot. Any situation which creates "learned helplessness" or takes power away from another has a high rate of being trauma-inducing. It's all on a spectrum but the cumulative effects are damaging. Good page on microaggressions/micro-inequities here: http://bit.ly/GBbfoX
