Hello Everyone!

I understand that trauma-informed communities have a wealth of participating cities and are growing! Is anyone aware of a trauma-informed community model that has incorporated culturally-sensitive components relevant for refugee and immigrant populations?

My program, the National Partnership for Community Training (NPCT), is currently looking at the cross-section of welcoming communities and refugee mental health. We are interested in learning more about this great work.

Thanks in advance!

This would be great to know more about.  I am working with a local community agency on building upon the ACE Interface presentation to have an additional training focused on serving their priority population of immigrant and refugees. Thank you Tiffany for the lead on Boston Children's Hospital.  Any other ideas I will keep an eye out for on our ACE Interface presenter board to add to this conversation as well, but will also look for additional suggestions.  Thanks for the question Jenny!

Ana Clymer you may be interested in connecting with folks from Sonoma County ACES Connection and the The Alaska Resilience Initiative (both have ACEs Connections groups).  Both of these communities are also using the ACE Interface Curriculum and looking at how it can be more culturally relevant for their communities (which includes immigrants and refugees) as well as making sure their ACE training addresses historical trauma.

Hi Jennifer,
Please find attached two documents for your consideration.
