A couple of years ago there was a post here about a school that set up a program where they partnered each faculty member with the identified at risk students. The teachers, counselors, nurse and admin. were each assigned a student to mentor. That student would check in with their mentor each morning and after school before getting on the bus. There would be help with homework, making sure they had food and snacks and even just checking to see how things went at home the night before. I remember the principal had reported that every students greatly improved in behavior and academics.

Does this sound familiar with anyone? If so can you guide me to the school and/or any contact information?

Thank you,

Rene
