For the past six months in Baltimore, we have been forming a local Thriving and Healing Communities Collaborative, a learning and action community of youth, young adult and family development service providers, advocates and community members committed to increasing our capacity to provide trauma sensitive and informed responses here in Baltimore. 

 

In light of Baltimore's historic past and our most recent present, we are even more concerned about the impact of community level violence, adversity, toxic stress and at the same time very heartened by the opportunity before us.  We want to invite anyone engaged through ACES Connection, in and around Baltimore, to join us at our monthly meeting this Wednesday, May 6, 2015.  See below:

Wednesday, May 6, 2015  9:00am - 12:30pm 

Center for Urban Families

Join us at our fifth meeting and examine how we, personally, and our environments, structurally, acknowledge and respond to chronic and toxic stress and adversity in ways that support and promote resiliency and healing.

 

Meeting will begin at 9:30am.  Enter through Main Entrance on Monroe Street

Parking is available on the lot of New Shiloh Baptist Church across the street as well as side streets.

Do not park on the surface lot just south of CFUF.  You will be towed.

Please RSVP to ross.pologe@gmail.com, so we'll have a good count.  Please share this with others, too.

Just seeing this and the meeting is today!  Please write about what happened, what came out of this meeting.  And what's going on next.  I live in Montgomery County, but I live in Maryland and I care.
