Dr Clancy D. McKenzie proposes some interesting theories about traumatic nature of common mental health problems, such as schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder.

Dr McKenzie reached a conclusion that they originate from very early childhood trauma and conducted a thorough, yet underfunded research to prove those correlations.

He wrote several books: "Babies Need Mothers" and "Delayed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder". Many of us here at the Wellness and Recovery center called On Our Own of Frederick found that his findings may be used to help actual members of On Our Own.

(We don't have patients or clients, some of our members read more about theories of psychology and psychiatry than others. We are all helping each other in the center and we acquired very useful knowledge over the years.)

Well, I have started commenting this in public now, on an attempt to popularize it a bit - I don't know if people will listen but I can't just walk away from this stuff without leaving something out there.

I used to suffer greatly - I returned to 22 month mark (birth of sibling) but I had lots of other early + cumulative trauma, too. As in hot mess - all of which is gone now. I see it now and what has been seen cannot be unseen. https://youtu.be/bJcKU7oEv8o

Quote from a book that I read about Dr. McKenzie's research on Schizophrenia:

"Drug companies search for cause as long as it relates to something they can sell.

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) searches for cause as long as it is biological, because Congress allocates 1.3 billions each year to search for biological cause.

The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), hurting from unfair blame, searches for cause as long as God did it, because if it is not an act of God, family members might feel worse than they already do.

So the big three, searching for cause, have eliminated cause from the search!"

For all of us who have been concerned or have experienced Schizophrenia or simply interested in Unification Theory Of Mental Illness, here are some great videos from Dr. McKenzie, Presented at The National Academy of Forensic Examiners:
